Count Eudes I De Blois , Lord of Coucy

The original Lord of Coucy - having received it from Olderic, the Archbishop of Reims as part of a settlement with his father, Thibault, Count de Blois.

However, this count lost control of Coucy and is NOT directly related to the lord who rose to eventually take control, being Alberic de Coucy

Eudes married Bertha of Burgundy, daughter of King Conrad III of Burgundy and Adelaide (Matilda) Princess of West Franks. (Bertha of Burgundy was born in 962 in Burgundy, France and died in 1010.)
