Appointed "the" Royal Seneschal for Normandy by Henry II in 1160s
Witness to the submission of the Scots (King William and his brother David) to the King of England (Henry II) in 1175 at York, renewing and confirming the Treaty of Falaise. [Annals of Roger de Hoveden p.401]
Some sources (John O'Hart - Irish Pedirees) show this William to be the father of John (Ulster) and Jordan, but unlikely. Death may be 1176 or 1177. Confusion with other Williams.
