1614 appeal for pension funds, "having conformed to the rites and ceremonies of the Church established in all the Kings dominions" (King James I)
1625: Charles I ordered that he be paid pensions (including back pay) of 150 pounds annually.
1627: Made Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to charles I.
1636: Lost his rights to pension as it was ordered "that he has revolted from the Established Church, he shall forfeit the pension of 150pa which he had earned from James I by abjuring his old faith".
(Served Charles I until 1636 when he reverted to Catholicism and fell from favour.)
Gerald married Helen FitzGerald, daughter of Sir John FitzGerald or Dromana and Ellen Fitz Gibbon.
